This refreshing non-alcoholic bubbles is made with early harvest Cabernet grapes.

It’s best enjoyed super chilled, served in a champagne flute. Or, to make a refreshing Sparkling Ruby spritzer, mix with mineral water and pour over ice. Add a sprig of crushed mint at the last minute.

What a great way to celebrate in style, with no added sugar!

Tasting Notes:

A non-alcoholic wine made from the juice of Cabernet grapes; Sparkling Ruby Cabernet has the bead of champagne and the mouth feel of a good wine. Rose petals and crushed strawberries on the nose are complemented on the palate with green tea characters that finish crisp and dry with a note of citrus and sour cherry flavours.

Winemaking Notes:

This is carbonated Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice. A drink to suit those times when you want to drink with pleasure but avoid the alcohol effect. Very refreshing.

Food Suggestion:

A great accompaniment to game, kangaroo, venison, duck or goose dishes. Why not try seared tuna with a black pepper crust!

I drank Verjuice over ice to keep me cool and refreshed. Now that was too sour for most but it started my search. This wonderfully refreshing drink is the result, which I have named Sparkling Ruby Cabernet.

I serve Sparkling Ruby Cabernet chilled in a flute glass that keeps the bead as I sip it.

Made from the juice of Cabernet Grapes Sparkling Ruby Cabernet has the bead of Champagne and the mouth feel of a good wine. Delightful aromas of rose petal and crushed strawberries are complemented on the palate with green tea characters that finish crisp and dry with citrus and sour cherry flavours.

This is the drink to suit those times when I am too frazzled to enjoy the bubbles of Champagne and wanting to avoid alcohol but still drink with pleasure.

The tea characteristic lends me to think of Pinot. There is the nose of crushed strawberries but also a hint of strawberry on the palette, but also a hint of cherry tobacco my grandpa used to smoke!

So we think anything with mushroom, game, kangaroo or venison but also the richness of duck or goose.

I can imagine brochette with sardines, white bean puree and shaved parmesan, a beautiful quail egg with caviar, seared tuna with a black pepper crust - I am making myself very hungry!
