Excellent Book
"I simply love the layout of this book, it’s quite unique in comparison to most other cook books I own. Rather than divide the book based on your proteins etc. this goes a step further by laying it out into segments such as snack-foods, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert (boy oh boy, there are some delicious desserts) and so much more. For anyone really keen, Maggie even dedicates a whole page to divulging her pantry staples. Ive been stuck in a cooking rut for a little while now, I think most of us are guilty of cooking with the ‘same old’ familiar ingredients, mostly out of convenience, and the kilos have become just a little bit too friendly (hanging around in places where they are just not welcome, ha!). This book provides lots of wonderful recipes encouraging a healthier way to enjoy food, without the guilt. I will add, this is a healthy eating cook book so there aren’t a heap of read meat options. I will add, there are some ingredients in this book that you probably won’t, or have never had, in your pantry but that’s half the fun. Maggie includes the health benefits of the ingredients in the recipe, which in turn makes you want to try it. Hubby and I are working our way through the book, ticking meals off as we go (with notes) and he is absolutely loving it, especially as he doesn’t have to give up his cake. I definitely recommend it, you can’t put a price on good health."
