Winter for me is all about stewing, braising, roasting and poaching - such satisfying ways to cook food that warms from the inside out…

My appetite soon lets me know it’s time to spend more hours in the warmth of the kitchen, rediscovering a few favourite, hearty recipes and slow-cooking my way through a blustery afternoon. I cook from the heart and wholeheartedly encourage improvisation in the kitchen, so my main priority for anyone jumping onto my website is to provide recipes to be used as a starting point; recipes that make you want to get into the kitchen! With that in mind, we are always adding new recipes that I hope will encourage the pleasures of sourcing good produce and sharing great food. But if the weather is not quite enough to encourage a lazy day in the kitchen, then perhaps my newly released Beef Stock could tip the scales? Perfect for that one-pot meal that can slowly simmer the day away to be ready in time for a warming end to your week. I hope I’m not the only one to be pulling out my trusty old pressure cooker at this time of year!
